Mendip Outdoor Pursuits and Activities

Giving pupils a chance to use creative thinking and work cooperatively

PRIMARY EDUCATION INDUCTION DAYS

With the new creative curriculum and more emphasis on the skills required to enable learning to take place, induction days could be the perfect kick start to a new school year.

Giving pupils a chance to use creative thinking and work cooperatively outside the constraints of the classroom brings learning alive by giving it real purpose. It would be an excellent boost to community building within the class group.

In education, ''every child matters'' and outdoor activities provide scope for those pupils whose preferred learning style is to have a go and can provide opportunities for children to show skills and aptitudes that are not readily apparent in the classroom situation.
