We are very aware that the objectives for each of our clients are different. Team development is a huge area and can be broken down into many smaller elements. Methodologies
At Mendip Outdoor Pursuits we strongly believe in the educational benefits and advantages of experiential learning.
Many of our activities and events are specifically designed to help demonstrate the different elements of effective teamwork. By allowing participants to learn through active experimentation and hands-on challenges, we can help highlight how similar skills and behaviours can be successfully translated to the workplace. In addition to the activities themselves, our trained co-ordinators will help develop this awareness with informal group discussions and reviews.
We firmly believe that delegates should find the information they require themselves from the experiences they have had with us. Staff at Mendip Outdoor Pursuits facilitate learning, we do not lecture delegates or impart our own opinions or ideals.
Testing Learning Outcomes
At Mendip Outdoor Pursuits we don't believe an event should finish with the end of an activity. An effective process of review is often a vital part of the learning experience and we are keen to help teams develop the insights a challenge may have created, and discuss how these can be applied in a workplace environment.
Reviewing is paramount to the effective assimilation of learning; Mendip Outdoor Pursuits staff are trained in many styles of reviewing and believe that this is where the most potent learning takes place; it's also an effective method of testing that learning outcomes have been achieved.
If you feel it would be beneficial, we are also able to arrange follow-up sessions to see that action plans have been implemented, review results and plan further progress towards objectives.
