Mendip Outdoor Pursuits

For over 20 years we've been providing life changing experiences, great memories, and sheer adventure

With up to 20,000 visitors a year and over 14 full time staff working 365 days of the year. Mendip Outdoor Pursuits is the biggest provider of outdoor activities and outdoor education in Bristol, Bath, Somerset, in fact the whole region. Whether you're a group of 5 or 150 we'll make it a great day to remember. Individuals can find a great choice of activities for holidays and weekends in our Activity Calendar. This website will tell you how we do it.

Mendip Outdoor Pursuits centre is situated at the edge of the stunning Mendip Hills in North Somerset located between Bristol and Weston-super-Mare.

Since 1987 we have been providing high quality, tailor-made outdoor courses for organisations and individuals throughout the South West. Whether you are an educational school client wanting outdoor adventure, community building and learning outside the class room or a residential visit; a corporate client looking for team building activities and management training near Bristol, and things to do on Mendip we can help. If you are looking for outdoor education centres near Bristol then we can help. Corporate away days are very popular and may be combined with activities to thrill such as our assault course near Bristol or something a little more calm such as an archery lesson. Unlike some centres Mendip Outdoor Pursuits works with a huge range of clients; we know exactly what it takes to tailor a package just for you, whom ever you might be.

We have provided many stag and hen parties with a great range of stag party activities and hen party activities; we have something exciting for everyone. We can also arrange paint ball, quad biking, go-karting and clay pigeon shooting. Hen party games are another area where we can help. We also offer children's birthday party activities for any age group from 8 years old and upwards. We have a lot of birthday party ideas, our assault course is very popular and unlike some army assault courses, can be 'tuned' to the groups ability, these involve more fun and team work. call us for all your outdoor activities in Bristol or Bath. When it comes to outdoor activity centres in the Bristol area we have the most extensive range of outdoor activities and can deal with very large groups. We are perfect for stag and hen activities Bristol. We can provide accommodation in the Mendip area, or accommodation in the Forest of Dean, Biblins Barton Camp and Goblin Combe Lodge are three great school group locations we can use

We offer a wide range of outdoor activities: climbing, in many areas including Avon Gorge, kayaking on the River Wye or locally, bush craft (although we don't have Ray Mears!), abseiling, including a 300ft (100 metre) abseil, caving and pot holing in wet caves and dry caves. All of our outdoor adventure ideas activities are great fun and very popular.

We work nationally with charity groups to arrange charity/not for profit events and charity abseils nationwide. Contact our outdoor activity centre to discuss your charity event ideas. We can arrange abseils off buildings and many other structures and have operated charity abseils in Bristol, Newport, Manchester, Portsmouth, Falmouth, London, and many other places.
