Mendip Outdoor Pursuits and Activities

A great way of community building, developing social relationships, and getting people to interact

INDUCTION COURSES

Induction days are becoming increasingly popular as a method of community building within a new class group. Outdoor activities are a great way of letting individuals express themselves in a levelling environment. This often allows students who are uncomfortable with traditional sports to excel, leading peers to view them with greater respect and trust. Induction days can kick-start that process - creating strong bonds between people who knew nothing of one another at the beginning of the day.

Creating lasting bonds and familiarity early on with new groups allows students to be more open and confident. With personal barriers relaxed, a friendlier atmosphere is created and this can only enhance and expand the potential learning opportunities and social stability required for an effective working environment.

An induction event can include a number of activity sessions so participants can choose what they would like to try; or it can be structured around a team challenge that everyone undertakes, with each team having opportunity to try many different challenges and activities. We can manage events for any number of people - from 8 to well over 100 participants.

We have seen the benefits of getting unfamiliar groups of people to interact through our activities. We understand that everyone has very different needs and budgets, and we will ensure your event is tailored to meet your specific requirements. We are always happy to arrange a meeting to discuss your requirements for such an event.
