Mendip Outdoor Pursuits has had 20 years experience providing quality outdoor education for schools, colleges and universities, in Somerset and the South West; in fact, we are a leading provider to educational establishments nationally. As one of our specialist areas, we have developed considerable expertise in events of this kind, and can comfortably cater for up to 150 participants a day.
Many local schools and colleges return to us each year for Activity Days and weeks during the summer, Induction Days in September and activities and teambuilding events that meet National Curriculum criteria throughout the year. Adventurous activities can have profound effects on the young and old alike. The benefits of ‘Frontier Adventure’ and the expansion of comfort zones through adventure are well documented. Mendip Outdoor Pursuits Staff are all experienced at working with a multitude of age ranges and abilities, and we will do everything possible to ensure that each participant gets the most from their experience with us. We will always encourage participants to go as far as they can while ensuring both their physical and psychological safety.
Educational groups represent the core of our clientele during the summer months, so it is often prudent to book early, particularly in the last 6 weeks of the summer term.
