PHIL TURNER

Phil Turner joined the team for his first season in 2005. He has worked in the outdoor industry since 1995, working in the Italian Alps for 6 years as an activity and centre manager.

Phil is responsible for running day to day activity sessions as well as facilitating management training courses and events. He also trains our intake of trainees every year.


Phil is an avid climber and mountaineer having climbed throughout Europe and New Zealand. Phil was recently published in a Climbing magazine describing part of a route on La Grivola a 3995 metre peak. Phil has an Honours degree in 'Outdoor and Environmental Education' and extensive experience of the industry, having worked at a number of centres.

He has coaching qualifications in kayaking, climbing and mountain walking, a clean driving licence and a first aid certificate. Phil is training to become a Level 3 kayak coach and would like to pursue sea kayaking qualifications.
